Lección 20 f: El ´Past Simple' de los verbos regulares e irregulares - revisión

Recuerde que el 'Past Simple' tiene una forma única para todas las personas:

AFIRMATIVA

I watched / finished / played / arrived / studied / stopped
you watched / finished / played / arrived / studied / stopped
he/she/ it watched / finished / played / arrived / studied / stopped
we/you/they watched / finished / played / arrived / studied / stopped

NEGATIVA

I did not (didn´t) watch / finish / play / arrive / study / stop
you did not (didn´t) watch / finish / play / arrive / study / stop
he/she/it did not (didn´t) watch / finish / play / arrive / study / stop
we/you/they did not (didn´t) watch / finish / play / arrive / study / stop

INTERROGATIVA

did I watch …? / finish …? / play … ? / arrive … ? / study … ? / stop … ?
did you watch …? / finish …? / play … ? / arrive … ? / study … ? / stop … ?
did he/she/it watch …? / finish …? / play … ? / arrive … ? / study … ? / stop … ?
did we/you/they watch …? / finish …? / play … ? / arrive … ? / study … ? / stop … ?

Y que el verbo be tiene dos formas verbales en el 'Past Simple':

was I / he / she / it
were you / we / they

I was at work late at night. - Estuve en el trabajo tarde por la noche.
Were you here yesterday? - ¿Estabas aquí ayer?
They weren't home early. - No Ilegaron a casa pronto.

Recuerde cómo se forma el 'Past Simple' de los verbos regulares, a veces con cambios ortográficos:

INFINITIVO - PAST SIMPLE

start - started
touch - touched
carry - carried
wrap - wrapped
turn on - turned on
enjoy - enjoyed
worry - worried
grab - grabbed

I wrapped the present. - Envolví el regalo.
He wrapped the present. - (Él) envolvió el regalo.

Observe la forma 'Past Simple' de los siguientes verbos irregulares y de algunos verbos auxiliares *:

INFINITIVO - PAST SIMPLE

do* - did
leave - left
take - took
read - read
drive - drove
run - ran
have* - had
write - wrote
get up - got up
speak - spoke
tell - told
eat - ate


I wrote three letters yesterday. - Escribí tres cartas ayer.
He wrote three letters yesterday. - (Él) escribió tres cartas ayer.
